Last week Sevilla won the audience award during the Festival for European Shorts in Bordeaux. A day earlier it won the third prize during the BE Film Festival in New York.
Since its international premiere in Clermont-Ferrand Sevilla is traveling around the world at more than 90 international film festivals. Previously it won the Golden Calf during the Dutch Film Festival and the Grand Prize at the Altkirch Film Festival 2013.
Together we made a walk on the beach to celebrate my 33th birthday. What a present!
SEVILLA wins Golden Calf
Very happy and honoured to have won the Golden Calf at The Netherlands Film Festival. An award shared with all the friends we made the film with. Check out my brother Jesse watching the award ceremony at our parents home in The Hague.
Annelien van Wijnbergen locked the picture! The film couldn’t have been in better hands. Celebrating this moment with BALDR film producers Frank en Katja.
ARTIS / FORGOTTEN ANIMALS
What about the Axolotl or the Oeistiti. A series about the forgotten animals in Artis City Zoo. Sweet and smart concept by DAWN. Dutch viewers only (sorry).

LOCATION SCOUTING SEVILLA
Together with my friends Marcel (screenplay writer) and Jesse (my little brother) we found some beautiful locations in France near Clermont Ferrand to shoot our new short film Sevilla. For more info about the project, please check the website from Baldr FILM.
GROENE AMSTERDAMMER / NOMINATION
David Snellenberg’s writing was nominated for best copy at the ADCN 2011.

Made with a lot of help from my friends. D.O.P. Jasper Wolf Sound Designer Feike de Wit and of course Fockeline Ouwerkerk and Martijn Nieuwerf themselves.
